SkinCeuticals - Soothing Cleanser

SkinCeuticals Soothing Cleanser is a gentle foaming cleanser formulated for skin that is sensitive, dry, or feeling compromised. It removes impurities and makeup while comforting the skin, and it rinses without the tightness that follows most foaming washes.

Achieving a genuine foam without harsh surfactants is the technical difficulty in a product like this, and it is why so many gentle cleansers end up as non-foaming creams. This one manages both.

It is a common recommendation after in-office procedures, during retinoid adjustment, and for anyone whose skin has become reactive from over-cleansing or over-exfoliation.

1. Wet your face with lukewarm water. Hot water compromises the barrier further.
2. Massage a small amount onto your face and neck using fingertips only.
3. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry with a clean towel. Avoid direct contact with the eyes.
4. Use morning and evening, or evening only if your skin is very dry.

Size: 150 ml. Avoid cleansing brushes and washcloths while your skin is sensitive; fingertips are gentler and sufficient.

When patients tell our providers their skin has suddenly become sensitive, the fix is very often the cleanser rather than anything more elaborate. Foaming sulfate washes, hot water, and cleansing brushes together will make any skin reactive within a few weeks.

This is the cleanser we recommend during procedure recovery, during the first weeks of a retinoid, and for anyone rebuilding a damaged barrier. It is deliberately uneventful, which is the point.
