Alastin - Ultra Nourishing Moisturizer

Alastin Ultra Nourishing Moisturizer is the richer of Alastin's two daily moisturizers, formulated to hydrate and soothe dry skin while supporting it against environmental damage. It carries TriHex Technology, so alongside comfort it supports the clearing of damaged elastin and collagen and the production of healthy new protein.

Despite the richness, it is oil-free, fragrance-free, and non-comedogenic, which makes it usable on skin that is dry but still prone to congestion, a combination that rules out most heavy creams.

It suits dry and depleted skin, drier winter months, and skin that has been temporarily dried out by a retinoid, an acid, or a procedure.

1. Apply to clean skin morning and evening, after your serums.
2. Use 1 to 2 pumps for your face and neck, warming it briefly between your fingers.
3. Press and smooth it into the skin.
4. In the morning, follow with a broad spectrum sunscreen.

For very dry skin, apply to slightly damp skin to lock in more water. On retinol nights, apply this first, then the retinol, to reduce irritation.

TriHex Technology (Tripeptide-1 and Hexapeptide-12): supports the clearing of damaged elastin and collagen and the production of new, healthy protein.

Rich Emollient Complex: replenishes the lipids that dry and depleted skin lacks.

This is our providers' default recommendation for dry skin, for winter, and for patients partway through a retinoid ramp-up when the barrier needs more support than a light lotion provides.

The oil-free and non-comedogenic formulation is worth noting, because dry skin and congested skin often occur together and most rich creams force a choice between them. This one does not.

One technique that makes a real difference: apply to slightly damp skin. A moisturizer applied to bone-dry skin has less water available to hold in.
