Stratamed is an advanced, flexible, film-forming wound dressing for use on compromised skin and on certain acute and chronic wounds, including immediately following medical and aesthetic procedures.

The distinction from Strataderm matters and is often confused. Strataderm is for scars on fully closed skin. Stratamed is a wound dressing and can be applied to open or compromised skin from the moment the procedure ends, which means it starts working before a scar has even formed.

That earlier start is the point. Beginning scar management during initial healing, rather than waiting weeks for closure, gives a better foundation. Stratamed is used after laser resurfacing, dermabrasion, surgical procedures, and in a range of wound care settings.

It forms a protective, gas-permeable, water-resistant film that helps maintain an environment supporting the skin's natural recovery. It is transparent and flexible for use on contoured areas. Size: 10 g.

Use only according to the product labeling and the directions of a qualified healthcare professional. General guidance:

1. Ensure the area is clean.
2. Apply a very thin layer over the affected area. A thick layer will not form a proper film.
3. Allow it to dry.
4. Apply as directed by your provider, typically once or twice daily.
5. Continue until your provider advises you to transition to Strataderm or to stop.

Your provider's instructions always take precedence over general directions.
