ZO Skin Health - Oil Control Pads

Call to Order- ZO Oil Control Pads are a triple-acid treatment toner in pad form, built around 2% salicylic acid. They reduce the formation of acne, normalize oil production, and minimize the appearance of pore size.

Salicylic acid is the right acid for this job because it is oil-soluble, which means it penetrates into the pore rather than working only on the surface. At 2% it is at the top of the over-the-counter range.

The pads also decongest pores, reduce breakouts, and help brighten post-acne marks, and they target excess oil to mattify the skin. As with the Complexion Renewal Pads, the pad material is now a 100% plant-based alternative to the microplastic particles used previously. 60 pads per container.

1. After cleansing, sweep one pad across the face, avoiding the eye area.
2. Do not rinse. Allow it to dry, then continue with your routine.
3. Start once daily in the evening and increase to twice daily only if your skin is comfortable.
4. Use a broad spectrum sunscreen every morning. Salicylic acid increases sun sensitivity.

Do not layer with another exfoliant or use on the same night as a retinoid until your skin has adjusted.

Salicylic acid is the correct choice for congestion because it is oil-soluble and gets inside the pore, where the problem actually is. Glycolic acid works on the surface, which helps texture but does far less for blackheads and closed comedones.

Our providers recommend these for oily and congestion-prone skin, starting once daily in the evening. Twice daily suits some people and over-dries others, so build rather than assume.
